Took my cats in for one reason and they unmasked another serious problem that I had taken my cat to his own vet about but their exam was not in-depth enough to uncover he was suffering from a UTI 😭 Blair was amazing! She was informative, kind, empathetic, knowledgeable and most thorough. Dr. McGuire was the doctor you want in a sensitive, urgent situation. She did the in-depth tests needed and communicated it all clearly. The entire staff I encountered was friendly and driven toward the best care and comfort for my cats. Kudos to this establishment. I truly wish this could be my veterinarian and not only for urgent matters!Posted on Google Days GNTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. When I wrote this first one, I was devastated over something absolutely no one had control over. I do believe nothing would have saved my dog that night as he passed away incredibly quickly. I am still so upset over his death, but blaming a vet was not the way to express my grief. I now have a year old shepherd who I took in to get neutered at a local vet. I've had so many dogs neutered and never had an issue....until this guy. Three days after his surgery, his incision area did not look good at all. I found myself googling dog neuter pics late on a Saturday night. The next morning, I called White Oak and left a message. They got back to me and got us in within the hour. They were so nice and for being an emergency vet, the prices were great! I was pleasantly surprised by the total....wasn't nearly as much as I thought it would be. He ended up having an infection and a fever. We purchased a laser package and I've been taking him there daily to get his laser done. Everyone there is so nice and I am so pleased this is so close to where I live. I hope I don't have to use White Oak often, but I'm glad they are there and the experience I have had with them has been fantastic. I apologize for taking my grief and anger out on White Oak. They did not deserve that original review. I called on a Thursday evening at 6:15pm for my Shepherd who was panting heavily and had collapsed. I was told they weren’t taking anyone else that night despite them being open until 8. Told me to call Cats and Dogs in Bowie. My dog died on the way.Posted on Google Courtnie DelozierTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. They took care of me and my cat very well, I call in the evening and they were able to fit me in. I arrived and they let me stay in the room so my cat wasn't bother other. They were very helpful, they gave my cat a blood test and like I thought she was in kidney failure. I had time to say goodbye to her, and they make everything easy for me. This evening I received a card from them with well wishes, I do truly appreciate this place when I was a nervous wreck!Posted on Google Amanda HilsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My dog started vomiting and could not hold anything down. We took him to White Oak Veterinary Urgent Care. They did an X-ray but said it was unclear. They charged us $1200. We were given a diagnosis of gastroenteritis and sent home with antibiotics and an appetite stimulant. My dog's appetite did not return, and he began to throw up, again, three days later. When I took him back to the urgent care, they finally confirmed an obstruction via ultrasound. Another $500. Why not do the ultrasound in the first place? They were too "busy" to do the surgery themselves so they referred us an hour up the road to Annapolis. I felt like they were rushing me out of the clinic because they had other things to attend to. By the time my dog got his surgery at the Annapolis animal hospital, it was too late. In addition to the obstruction, the ER doc found that the foreign object had punctured his intestine. Just to be clear....since White Oak Veterinary Urgent Care misdiagnosed my dog with gastroenteritis, he suffered for a week with an obstruction and a perforated intestine. Unfortunately, he was unable to recover from the surgery, and we had to put him down a few days later.Posted on Google Roberto VergaraTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Took my cat in for URI, because my usual vet wouldnt be able to see him until a month and White Oak was able to see him within 24hours. Of couse they were a little more expensive because they are an urgent care but its worth being seen sooner. They were super helpful and friendly even called afterwards for a follow up and see how he was doing. Would definitely recommend.Posted on Google John RoperTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. They were some of the sweetest people of any vets I've taken my cats to over the years. My one cat hadn't been eating or drinking for days and I took her to the emergency 24/7 in Waldorf over the weekend but she hated it. They had to sedate her to get anything done there and she didn't get any better. But I called White Oak on Monday and they squeezed me in for a last minute appointment same day. They were gentle, wrapped her in a towel, and were able to get all the procedures done needed to get her feeling better. By the time we got home she readily ate 3 full meals and was feeling back to normal by the end of the day. I would highly recommend White Oak for any pet urgent care, or if it's after hours maybe skip the Waldorf ER vet and go somewhere else like Bowie instead.Posted on Google JaninestoneTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very caring people. After diagnosis they followed up on my girl for a few days to make sure she was getting better. The pricing was what I expected. They showed me fees on everything they did before they did it. They explained everything and spent time making sure I understood. I hope I don't have to go back but, It would be the 1st place I picked if I had to take my girls in again.Posted on Google Stephanie GormasTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great experience. Second time using them.
